saved the world
did little else
computer games

feeling stupid
getting strange looks
all for nothing

a ringing phone, two waiting customers
five taxi cabs
not a single driver

leaving home without money
makes it rather hard
to buy food

nothing moves
horns blow
still nothing moves

despair and depravity
rendered in minute detail
in drawing after drawing

an old couple
staring and smiling
like statues

same old streets
same boring houses
little of interest

blinking lights
causing pain
on and off the screen

biking uphill
through the woods
my feet ask me if i'm mad
