when he left the house he had
forgotten that he never wanted
to be bigger than life
the only time i can focus
on the way that lies before me
is when cycling through the dark
faces like masks,
hollow, lifeless eyes
the every day traffic blues
a salesgirl from bipa told me
that my job must be boring.
this leaves me a bit surprised
it's driving through
bigger cities that messes
with your body and mind
i don't have enough pockets
to carry with me all the chewing gum
i'd need for this town
tonight surprise comes as
rainfall and overshadows
the search for new limits
looking at the traffic is
far less attractive than
looking good, behind the wheel
different kinds of sausage
not looking fit to eat
spread out on the kitchen table
hopes, wishes, a new life,
future, vanishing.
in a pair of sad eyes
